* BUDISMO *

***

Japan is a country where there are many religions, but the most important are the Christianity, Buddhism and the Shintoism.
The Christianity is a religion that everybody know because it’s the religion with more number of faithful, but the Shintoism and the Buddhism not, for that I’m going to speak about these.
Firstly, in this post I’m going to talk only about the Buddhism, because I know it, and Shintoism not.

* BUDDHISM. *

The Buddhism is a religion from India since V d. C century created by Buda Siddhartha Gautama. There are some kinds of Buddhism. One of these kinds is Mahayama, which arrived to Japan in VI century.
Firstly, this was a religion for aristocratic people, and also it had conflicts with Shintoism. Finally, it could exist together.
Objectives of Buddhism are to forget that all is eternal and material, and don’t have a god. Its emphasis is rid of hate and jealousy through infinite love with tolerance and balance. Buddhism don’t allow any fanaticism.
This religion have a lot of influence on Japaneses, that although they can be atheists, they respect Buddhism and go to the temples and do Buddhism funerals. Also, some people have an altar to pray their ancestors.
Nowadays, there are 90 millions of faithful in Japan, but it don’t affect in their life day by day, because it’s a religion very tolerant, which only offers a spiritual path to transcend the suffering of existence.

Some day I will talk about zen Buddhism.
